The château dates from the 14th century and is located on one of the most beautiful slopes on the right bank of the Gironde river in the town of Bayon.
Some very old vines have been planted on the mainly clay and limestone ground, mainly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The mild climate, partly due to the proximity of the Gironde, in combination with the soil provides ideal conditions for the vine.
The vineyards have been cultivated according to biodynamic principles since 1989.
