Beschrijving Description 描述
Gin tonic
Fill half of the glass with ice. 1/3 Cherry Gin + 2/3 Tonic. Set: Fresh Cherries.
Also recommended to drink with coke! This is how you create the well-known Cherry Cola.
The Beginning
The original gin known as Genever was first created by the Seventeenth century physician Franciscus Sylvius. The name is a corruption of the Dutch word for juniper, jeneverbes, which was thought to have healing properties and which gives gin its distinctive flavour. Truth be told distillation techniques (nor brewing and fermentation techniques) in the 17th century were nowhere near as good as they are today. So even though it is true that juniper was thought to have healing properties it is also true that adding juniper helped to mask the rough edges that these early spirits must have surely possessed. So the predecessor of gin back in the 17th century was most likely very big and bold in flavour. As distillation techniques in the 18th century improved the base spirit got more refined. This is probably when Old Tom Gin was born. It was lighter in style than Genever. But as distillation techniques were still a little erratic Old Tom Gin was often sweetened a bit to hide the faults in the spirit and make the drink more attractive. It was only after the invention of the Column still and the clean neutral spirits it produced that Dry Gin was born.

HISTORY
The Distillery was started back in 1975.
The idea was to start a small distillery that only produced very exclusive products. He build a small distillery of 300 square meters with 1 small copper still and 1 small production line.
After a long and struggling beginning it took him over 10 years to create the reputation of being the finest distillery in the Netherlands. But it was only after his wife started creating the packaging for the products of the distillery that business really took off. In 1989 they expanded their warehouse with 600 square meters and one production line.
These days both sons Patrick and Gilbert run the distillery under the watchful eyes of their parents. With Patrick caring for the distillery and production and Gilbert looking after the customers. They run a state of the art distillery of 3600 square meters with 4 brand new copper stills, over 1000 oak barrels, 4 production lines and a modern tank storage.
In all these years the aim of the distillery has never changed. Please the customers and try to produce the best products possible.
The Dutch distillers still creates their products in the traditional artisanal way. All ingredients are 100% natural and are carefully selected and processed into the most beautiful products in our family owned and run distillery. All recipes are designed by father Fred and son Patrick.
